Non-existent customer care service & they keep rejecting orders(after 15 days of order confirmation)

After around15 days of order confirmation they suddenly blocked our account & rejected the order. happened multiple times from different iherb account during their discount sales time. This is just unacceptable. Their customer care is almost non-existent & pathetic, they take so many days to reply by email. This is just so frustrating to expect such service from this company. They should not provide such discounts & later block/reject the order. Shame on them to provide this kind of service.

Kept rejecting orders(after 12-15 days of ordering during discount sale), non-existing customercare

During Iherb's 26 % discount offer, two members of my family from different iherb account ordered supplements for kids amounting between $450-500(after discounts). After 15 days of order confirmation they suddenly blocked our account & rejected the order. This is just unacceptable. Their customer care is almost non-existent & pathetic, they take so many days to reply by email. This is just so frustrating to expect such service from this company. They should not provide such discounts & later block/reject the order. Shame on them to provide this kind of service.

Not happy with my transaction.

Not happy with my transaction.
In their site they said TAX/VAT are included, but when the product arrived it isn't. I want to return it but they offered me for a refund of the VAT, so I didn't cancell my order but until now nothing happens, customer service not answering my email as well.

RUN away from this dishonest and…

RUN away from this dishonest and deceptive company, iHerb (iHerb.com). I cannot express this enough. In my opinion and experience this company is extremely dishonest in their business practices. Additionally they have absolutely ZERO (0) personal customer service. They want everything to be addressed online but do not have the proper vehicle in place to do so. Additionally the phone number they provide on their own website 951-616-3600 will NEVER get you to a live person, it is just impossible. (the phone number provided on this very site with their company profile is in fact disconnected) You will spend your time going through all the prompts only to get a recording stating that "in order to better service you we no longer provide support by telephone instead we have newly launched our virtual chat and automated self service features...." I could not help but to wonder how to have nobody to help me was better servicing me and why they were calling customer service support, and why would I want self service customer assistance? Isn't that what they are supposed to be there for? I see this as quite a manipulation and attempt to convince the caller that they are not being deprived of actual satisfactory customer service but that is is not even customer service that we need but support. Not sure who it is supporting other than their owners pockets. iHerb is touted to be a $1.8 billion dollar a year in sales company (hard to confirm) and as best as I can find it is owned by one person, Reza (Ray) Faraee (this is public and easily found information. I found it written that they are or were attempting to go public as least they seem to have filed with the SEC back in 2021. I can not understand how a company who sells ingestible products to the public would not have an actual working customer service number and a staff to accept calls. As of the writing of this review I have not yet received satisfactory assistance in regards to the product of which I was having an issue but I am going to vote with my feet, as I urge anyone reading this to do, and just RUN away from these people and never give them another penny. Let me ask you this, if you are going to hand over your hard earned money to a company for products as costly as most all of the health related products they sell don't you deserve better, don't you deserve to have actual customer service which assists you on your terms not theirs? I am inclined to feel you do, as I feel I do. Shop smart and shop elsewhere. I believe if even one customer has an experience such as I have had one day that one person could be you as well as we know that no problem is exclusive to one person, only that in some cases only one person or few has taken such time to write about it as I have here. I choose to help make happen the change I want to see and that is for such greedy companies to at the very least provide quality products and real customer service. Quality and service should be a constant and the competitive edge should be supply and pricing, and we as the consumer should not have to give up any one of those to acquire the other. Even if their price on any item is cheaper than elsewhere, if the quality is somehow off and they have no real customer service then you received no bargain, only burden. Don't be fooled by fluff and false promises shown on their website, not everything is as written in spite of how much they want you to think so. RUN away from iHerb.com and run fast. Oh and remember they own several other companies and brands as well all under their umbrella. I would not expect to receive any better service from or in regards to any of them because I am confident no better service is offered. RUN, RUN, RUN!!!!! Good luck! PS: remember, if you are not satisfied and you feel you have not gotten what you paid for you can always and easily dispute their charges on your credit card with your credit card company and then maybe that will get their attention.

Competitive pricing, ships quickly

A lot of reviews on this site come from frustrated customers, so I thought I'd offer my 2 cents as a new customer that checked out iHerb on Trustpilot and ordered anyway. My fairtrade coffee shipped for free with an order over $20, I got to use a discount code so it was even cheaper than Amazon, and it arrived in 2 days. I've had a cup already and I'm definitely satisfied.

I have been a customer since 2012

Update!
Can you explain to me how to share your products, your site, your blog with others without using your iherb site, logo name, etc.? Copyright Infringement means using someone else's name, among other things. How can someone promote you when they are not allowed to use your name and your page? Did I introduce myself as Iherb? Did I direct customers to one of my sites or iherb? What is the point of your program if you are not allowed to share the content of your site on social platforms?
Your rules say you can't pretend to be Iherb!!! Nowhere in the rules does it say that you can't share some content from your page, and that's the only thing I shared!

I used your name and content from your site to drive traffic/customers to your site to get you customers. Not to me, but to you! Isn't that the whole point of the rewards program?
Sharing the content of your site.Sharing your site's content and bringing in new customers.

I know there are rules but you are doing a bad job, you are too "inhumane" and automated when giving answers and your Chief of Staff should have taught you that sometimes you have to be flexible when it comes to rules.
It is not the same to lose a customer who has been buying from you for 20 years and a customer who ordered something once and will never do it again.
If you think I'm wrong, then you don't know much about business.

Anyway thanks for the reply. My long answers and your short "will not be unblocked" can give the readers of this a clear picture of what to expect.

I honestly don't even know why I'm wasting my time writing here to you, an employee who is under pressure from the rules. It would be wiser to contact Miss Marci. All the best and greetings...

I have been a customer since 2012. Every year I have over 100 orders. My rewards account was recently suspended without any explanation. I know that they are not obliged to give an explanation, but I sent them an email and more than 72 hours have passed and they have not sent any reply. It would be nice if they explain why they suspend someone's rewards account because I don't know where I went wrong and which rules I broke. How do they even know that I broke the rules?! Did they find my reward code somewhere on the internet? Could someone have posted it in my name out of spite and it wasn't me? How is it possible that for 20 years I didn't commit any offense and now suddenly I did and I didn't do anything that I normally didn't do. I think they should have more respect for the customers who have been with them for 20 years and spent thousands of dollars on their site!
It is also very interesting that literally a few hours before the account was suspended, I gave a bad review for one of their agents who did not have the right information. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it's very suspicious.
However my rating is related to the suspension of my rewards account. As for the rest (quality of purchase/order), in 99% of situations everything works perfectly. I gave a bad rating only because after 20 years they suspended my rewards account and did not deign to write at least some generic answer. They still got two stars because I've been with them for 20 years!!!

company in which you have to be careful when buying.

I think that since August 31 I am waiting for a solution to my situation, I made a purchase, the purchase was sent and then I got excited and made another purchase using the same payment method, address and everything the same as the first purchase, anyway, My account was suspended and the first purchase I made never arrived, like many here that I read, nobody has answers from the support, nobody solves anything. They do not have a phone number, you can only communicate with them from the page but if you are blocked you will not be able to and by mail where they send you an automatic message every 2 days that they have your situation in mind.

From 10/21 until 06/22 I had 6 orders and none did arrive delayed. Once I even ordered for a friend in Colombia and it was delivered without any issues. The delivery always happens earlier than the given time window.

Full of fake reviews

I was looking around this site to buy supplements and noticed the high quantity of obviously fake glowing reviews on this site for dubious fat burning products. You can see they are fake by the repetition of the words under different user names, and sometimes they just change a few words around here or there.

It completely put me off using them as any company who does this is dubious. Now I have seen they are not even in the UK and I would be hit by import charges so I have dodged a bullet.

Q:

Hi there. I just ordered from your site worth $25 here in Bulgaria. I want to know how much will I pay for additional taxes etc. Thank you.

Answer This Question

Q:

With 90% of the reviews at 1 star and most wishing they could put 0, how is this company still in business?

A:

My experience is mostly positive. As always, angry customers are more likely to write a review, even if they are 1 or 2% of total customers. I'm glad to have the option to purchase from iherb. Shipping is free for orders above $20, even internationally. Amazon.com has less options, higher prices, and doesn't offer free shipping internationally.

A:

Because the prices seem too good to be true, That should be a warning

Maybe those reviews are written by the competitors? The company is great, the products are of high quality. Try to use my promo code AHK4146 in your basket to get more benefits and discounts. Good luck

Answer This Question

Q:

Has anyone from the U.K. had a good experience with the iHerb app or items they've purchased from it??

A:

Im about to sue them. Theyre site is fraudulent as it uses a UK prefix to misrepresent where the goods are being shipped from. Interestingly in research prior to issuing the court process i found US sites who ship in UK with no customs charges. The site is hosted on google ads and i am suing them also.

A:

I ordered from the UK this week and bought £21 of products. When paying you get the option to pick a delivery company with the cost of delivery of that company listed next to it. They are not listed in price order. The second cheapest (DHL) was listed at the top and the box is automatically ticked for you. The most expensive delivery company was listed second and then the cheapest option (local deal rates) was listed at the bottom but you have to scroll down to see it so I left the first box ticked as I assumed they were in price order. So my delivery at checkout cost £8.62. Then I got a text from DHL stating my delivery was on its way and that I owed them £17 for taxes and customs. Looking at the site now it states next to the costs of delivery that Duties, Taxes and Fees may be collected at delivery but this is not very clear. It should be worded 'You will be charged additional costs by the shipping company' and you should have to tick a box to agree this or the cost should be added to the price st checkout. Please note you ALWAYS will be charged extra. I have only only ordered light goods. I contacted Iherb hoping to get a discount from my goods or a refund but they said they would minus all delivery off my refund and I'd still have to pay DHL both ways which would mean I'd then have less money and no goods! To conclude their site is illogically set out and misleading and sets customers up for disaster which looking at the number of complaints should have been altered yonks ago. It reminds me of websites from when internet shopping was brand new - there's no customer ethics or enthusiasm to look for solutions. If it were my company I'd have refunded the customer and paid the delivery charges myself and fixed my website straight away as I'd feel unprofessional and feel I was being unethical leaving customers feeling robbed.

Q:

Can i expect a hazard free courier from iherb

A:

Sorry, Robert 2 bad replies are better than 1.

by Williamson633 - July 06, 2018

A:

Sorry but no. DHL is far from reliable.

by William286 - February 09, 2018

A:

No, what iHerb and DHL is doing amounts to racketeering. Personally, I think companies with their delivery services should not be allowed to be in a health related business.
